Kleer Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 12 April 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Kleer mobile application and related services ("Kleer", "we", "us", or "our") operated by Clay Technologies FZC, a UAE Freezone entity based in Dubai/Sharjah, UAE.
1. About Kleer
Kleer is a financial analytics platform that allows users to upload financial statements, extract transaction data, and receive AI-powered insights, categorization, budgeting tools, and recommendations.
Kleer is not a bank, financial institution, broker, or licensed financial advisor.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using Kleer, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Kleer.
3. Eligibility
• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must not be located in or subject to sanctions or high-risk jurisdictions.
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. Account Registration & Security
• Provide accurate and up-to-date information.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your credentials.
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
5. Services Description
Kleer provides:
• Transaction analytics from uploaded statements
• AI-powered categorization and insights
• Budgeting tools and recommendations
• Subscription-based premium features
Kleer does not:
• Hold, custody, or manage funds
• Execute payments or transfers
• Provide investment, legal, or tax advice
6. AI Features & Disclaimer
Kleer uses AI technologies (including services provided by OpenAI) to generate insights, categorizations, and recommendations. AI outputs are provided for informational purposes only, may contain inaccuracies, and do not constitute financial advice. You are solely responsible for any decisions made based on Kleer outputs.
7. User Content & Uploads
• You may upload bank statement PDFs for processing.
• You confirm you have the right to upload and process such data.
• We extract transaction data and remove sensitive identifiers (names, addresses, account numbers).
• Only transaction-level data is retained.
• Uploaded PDFs are deleted within 30 days.
8. Subscription, Billing & Free Trial
• Monthly subscription: $3.99
• Annual subscription: $39.90
• 7-day free trial (where applicable)
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled
Payments may be processed via Apple App Store, Google Play, or other payment processors. Store-specific terms may also apply (including refunds and cancellations).
If a payment fails, we may retry up to five (5) times within thirty (30) days. If unsuccessful, your subscription may be canceled.
9. Refunds
Refunds may be granted in cases of service failure or proven unauthorized purchases. Otherwise, fees are non-refundable, subject to applicable store policies.
10. Acceptable Use
• Do not use Kleer for unlawful purposes.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, hack, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Do not upload data you are not authorized to use.
11. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in Kleer (including software, design, and content) are owned by Clay Technologies FZC. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service.
12. Third-Party Services
Kleer integrates with third-party services including OpenAI and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Your use of Kleer may be subject to third-party terms and policies.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kleer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including losses resulting from reliance on AI outputs or analytics.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kleer from any claims arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.
15. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations or legal reasons.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Kleer constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
